Algiers is an American rock band from Atlanta, Georgia, formed in 2007 by multi-instrumentalists Franklin James Fisher, Ryan Mahan, and Lee Tesche. They have been noted for blending disparate musical influences including gospel, post-punk, and industrial music into a unique sound.[2][3] Their style is also diverse thematically, with inspirations ranging from Southern Gothic literature to the concept of the Other, and has provoked descriptions such as "dystopian soul".[4][3]
