Fly By Midnight are a retro-pop duo from Staten Island, New York City. Members Justin Breit (Bryte) (vocals, keyboard) and Justin Slaven (Slavo) (vocals, guitar) met in 2014 through a studio based in Staten Island (ET Studios). Following a co-writing session, they decided to form the duo. Fly By Midnight’s cover of “We Don’t Talk Anymore” by singer/songwriter Charlie Puth, went viral globally with over 25 million YouTube views and 20 million Facebook views.

Formation and music

Justin Breit, who was born and raised in Staten Island, New York, began his career after gaining a mass following from posting several covers on YouTubeand with his debut television appearance on the MTV reality show Dream Bigger, an MTV Made reboot. Justin Slaven is originally from Deltona, Florida but moved to New York in 2014 to begin an apprenticeship at Recording Connection which led to an assistant engineering job at Chung King studios in NYC.

In July 2015 they released their debut single Brooklyn. Following this release, Fly By Midnight released a cover (ft. Nicolette Mare & Nicole Medoro) of “We Don’t Talk Anymore”, by singer/songwriter Charlie Puth. It was a global and viral success, accumulating over 25 million YouTube views and 20 million on Facebook.

The duo have performed for over 150 colleges and shared the stage with the likes of Daya, Third Eye Blind, Léon and Parmalee. After the release of several more singles & compilations, in early 2018, the duo won Firefly’s “Big Break Artist of 2018” and are due to perform at Firefly Music Festival in June.
